About This Product
Fruit flies are used to examine cross breeding and genetics, following traits such as eye colour, body colour and wing condition by breeding normal type flies with other strains, for example flies with vestigial wings. Before the flies go in, a couple of yeast granules are added to each vial to activate the food, and the vials are kept closed with their foam plugs between examination sessions. The Drosophila Food Starter Kit is available for supply within India and for export to Barbados, Libya, Serbia, Equatorial Guinea and Burundi.
