About This Product
The lamp provides small-scale heating where open flames are allowed, and is used to demonstrate flame, combustion, evaporation and heat transfer. It also suits fuel-efficiency comparisons in which the lamp is weighed before and after burning. It stands on a heat-resistant bench mat, is lit only under teacher control, and is never moved or refilled while lit or hot.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. How is the spirit lamp put out? Place the plastic cap over the wick to extinguish the flame, then let the lamp cool before handling or storing it.
