About This Product

This capacitor is fixed to a yellow baseplate, and 4 mm plug leads connect it into a circuit through the sockets. It stores electrical energy in an electric field. As an electrolytic capacitor it is polarised, so it has to be connected the right way round.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. What happens if the capacitor is connected in reverse polarity?
The component will fail, and this may cause overheating and explosion. Keep the anode (+) at a higher voltage than the cathode (-).
